Samantha Smith

Accountant

Samantha Smith founded BRIKC in 2013 with a clear focus on helping small and mid-sized businesses build strong, reliable financial foundations that actually support growth. Her approach blends formal accounting training with real-world, hands-on experience gained from working closely with business owners across a wide range of industries.

Samantha graduated from Capilano University in 2011 with both a degree and diploma in Accounting. During her studies, she served as President of the Capilano Accounting Association, where she helped elevate the program’s visibility by bringing Mid-Sized Firm Night to campus. This initiative connected graduating students with local accounting firms and helped bridge the gap between education and real-world practice.

Throughout her career, Samantha has been known for her strong focus on systems, processes, and operational clarity. She approaches financial work with an entrepreneurial mindset, understanding that numbers don’t exist in isolation, they reflect how a business is built, managed, and led. Her strength lies in pattern recognition and the ability to quickly identify what’s working, what isn’t, and where structure needs to be improved.

Samantha has worked with businesses in construction, professional services, real estate, retail, film, IT, First Nations–owned enterprises, and other project-based environments. In addition to client work, she has hosted workshops and seminars focused on helping business owners understand the financial foundations required to run sustainable, well-structured companies.

At the core of Samantha’s work is a practical, experience-driven philosophy: clean financials, strong systems, and clear insight allow business owners to lead with confidence and grow with intention.
